Community Services.
We provide several opportunities for community service and public health events. For those who share this passion for improving the well-being of their community, we ask that you actively participate and join us. Certificates verifying proof of service hours are available for students who attend such events.
For many years, we have provided health education for senior citizens through Koreatown Senior and Community Center (KSCCLA). Health education topics vary from management of chronic conditions to end-of-life planning, and more.
We host a First Aid Booth during the annual Korean Festival in Los Angeles, CA. Our nurses are on stand-by for the entire weekend so that attendees can enjoy the festival with a peace of mind.
Similarly, we provide first-aid services during the annual 6.25 (Korean War) Commemoration March, hosted by the Korean Consulate.
We also collaborate with CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center to host health fairs. In addition to these annual events, we organize public health events in our communities as needed.
This year, we have a new community activity in mind. We are planning educational seminars for those who are interested in pursuing registered nursing as a new career. Guest speakers will include registered nurses from various specialities, nurse practitioners, hospital managers/ administrators, and professors. We hope you will join our seminars and learn about the endless possibilities and opportunities available to RNs.
저희 협회에서는 지역사회 건강을 위해 여러가지 활동을 해오고 있습니다. 이러한 활동에 관심이 있으신 여러분들의 적극적인 참여를 바랍니다. 이러한 활동에 참여하는 학생들에게는 'Volunteer hours certificate'도 제공합니다.
코리아 타운 시니어 센터에 오랫동안 건강 교육 세미나를 제공합니다. 한인 시니어들에게 많은 질병들에 대한 관리에 대한 것으로 부터 죽음 준비에 대한 교육에 이르기 까지 다양한 내용으로 교육을 제공 합니다.
저희는 또한 한인 사회 전체의 축제가 있을때마다 참석한 한인 분 들이 마음 놓고 축제를 즐길수 있도록 First Aid Booth 를 마련하여 함께 하고 있습니다.
매년 미 한인 영사관에서 6.25 사변 기념 행사가 영사관에서 있을때에도 저희가 같이 참여하여 만약에 있을 수도 있는 응급사태를 대비합니다.
그리고 Health fair 도 차병원과 함께 해 오고 있습니다. 이 외에도 한인 지역 사회가 필요로 할때 같이 협력하여 활동하고 있습니다.
올해 새로운 계획하는 지역사회 활동은 새로운 직업으로 간호사가 되는 것에 대해 고민 하시는 분들을 위한 교육 세미나입니다. 여러 분야에서 활동하고 계시는 간호사, nurse practitioner, 병원 매니저분들, 교수님들을 모시고 간호사의 무궁한 포텐셜에 대해서 들어 볼수 있는 기회를 만들어 볼까 합니다.
